Coloring and Carving

Last week we had a GREAT time carving pumpkins. All the neighborhood kiddos came over and we carved pumpkins and played. I didn't realize how much time and work goes into carving pumpkins and then they rot 3 days later!! GEEEEZ! Next year we will carve one and paint and decorate the rest!!!

Yesterday, Kolt and I visited the Science Spectrum. They had a great Halloween Carnival going on. I walked past the arts and crafts table thinking that he would NEVER sit down and color. He never sits still and he has never really colored! I turned around and he had found the only seat open and sat down! The girl handed him a bag and he started coloring! I was shocked! He colored and stamped the bag like a pro! I am so proud!! Look at my little artist!!

A visit to the Pumpkin Patch

Fall Song
by Ellen Robena Field

Golden and red trees
Nod to the soft breeze,
As it whispers, "Winter is near;"
And the brown nuts fall
At the wind's loud call,
For this is the Fall of the year.

Good-by, sweet flowers!
Through bright Summer hours
You have filled our hearts with cheer
We shall miss you so,
And yet you must go,
For this is the Fall of the year.

Now the days grow cold,
As the year grows old...

And the meadows are brown and sere;
Brave robin redbreast
Has gone from his nest.

For this is the Fall of the year.

I do softly pray
At the close of day...

That the little children, so dear,
May as purely grow
As the fleecy snow
That follows the Fall of the year.

All about me!

I saw this on a friend's blog and decided to fill one out myself!

I AM...a proud wife and a mommy! (and it keeps me very busy!)

I WANT...to win the lottery. Aww, wishful thinking!! I would invest money for a rainy day, our retirement and Kolt's college. I would buy our family and close friends new homes and vehicles. I would buy a home big enough to have a large family! I would travel the world.

I HAVE...so many blessings!! I thank God every day and night for my wonderful husband and son, our home and our health. Life is good! May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine upon us, that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations. Psalm 67:2-3

I KEEP... gift bags! If you have given us a gift in a gift bag more then likely I have the bag in the garage and I will use it again!!

I WISH I COULD...have a few more hours in the day. Sometimes when the day is over I have not accomplished anything! (The joys of having a toddler!!)

I FEAR...something bad happening to my family. I don't know what I would do with out them!!! They are my everything!

I HEAR...the football game on tv! I love lazy Saturday afternoons!

I DON'T THINK...I will ever be good at dieting. No matter how hard I try, I still like to eat! I did okay with weight watchers, but it only lasted a few months.

I REGRET...NOTHING!! Let your eyes look directly ahead And let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you. Proverbs 4:25

I LOVE...reality tv! I am obsessed with it. You name it and I love it. (Real Houswives, Celebrity Rehab, Flipping Out, Intervention, Hell's Kitchen, Real World, Bad Girl's Club, The Bachlor, The Bachelorette, The Girls Next Door, Tori and Dean...) I could go on forever. SAD!

I AM NOT... a good shopper. I know, it's weird. For some reason I just don't like to do it!

I DANCE...all the time with Kolt.

I SING...kid songs. Yeah, I never thought that would happen! I even catch myself singing the ABCs in the shower. WOW! When did this happen?

I NEVER... want to stop having fun!

I CRY WHEN I WATCH... cheesy romance movies!

I AM NOT ALWAYS... organized! Although, I try real hard! I can organize a closet and one week later it's a cluttered mess again.

I HATE THAT....our world is a little scary. Sometimes I watch the news in disbelief....

I'M CONFUSED ABOUT... people. I will leave it at that!!

I NEED...a new washing machine and dryer.... mine is on it's last leg!!

I SHOULD...be doing exactly what I am doing... relaxing! Kolt is with Grammy and Papa and I am enjoying the quiet!!!

Destany's Day!

I am just about done editing pics from Destany's senior shoot. She was a great model and we had a blast playing all over town! I enjoyed spending time with her, her mom and her two brothers! Thanks for being so much fun!

Here are a few from our day:

Playing a little catch-up

We have had a busy weekend.

Saturday I had a great morning shoot with a beautiful senior named Destany. She was sick and had a fever. She was a total trooper! We had a great time! Isn't she gorgeous? I have so many pictres to post, here is a little sneak peek!

Brandon and I had a babysitter Saturday night!! We attended Boo Bash which is a wonderful charity event that raises money for MDA. The event was raising money for kiddos with muscular dystrophy and other related diseases to attend summer camp. The camp has a large variety of events designed and structured for each kiddo! It was neat to hear about the camp. If you are interested in learning more or donating money, here is the website. www.mda.org

And... this is what we came home with! The car was in the silent auction. As soon as we saw it, we knew we had to have it for Kolt!! (I think we checked the silent auction every 5 minutes to make sure we didn't get out-bid!!!)

Sunday, we had a great time at Miss Alexa's 3rd birthday party! Alexa looked adorable in her pink shirt and light up cowboy boots!! We ate hot dogs, lots of cheetos and cupcakes. There was also a sweet little pony there that all the kiddos got to pet and feed.

When Monday rolled around Kolt had to go to the Dr. for a shot and a well check up:

He is 28 lbs and in the 78 percentile on height. He is my big boy!! I am not sure what I am going to do when he is bigger then me!
His gross and fine motor skills are above average. The Dr. would ask me if he could jump up and down and we would glance over at him and he would be jumping up and down! She would ask me if he knew body parts such as his nose and when we glanced over at him he would be pointing to his nose!! The entire visit continued this way! He is such a show off!! The pediatrician was also very impressed with his large vocabulary! Ahhh.... I am one PROUD Mama!!!

I can't help but feel that he is growing up to fast!!! Where have the past 18 months gone? I beam with pride when Kolt learns something new or conquers a new milestone! I am the happiest when I watch his eyes light up, see his sweet smile or hear the music of his laughter. I am very sad that he won't be my little baby forever. But, I know that deep down he will ALWAYS be my little baby. He will be my little baby when he goes to school, when he is on the football field, when he goes off to college, when he gets married and even when he has a baby of his own. He must grow up and I know he will. But, I will enjoy the journey and cherish every moment with him. I will leave no kiss un-kissed and no hug un-hugged!! I promise...

Have a great week everyone!
