A good Saturday...

I had two great shoots today! The first one is a "secret" shoot! A sweet mom is surprising her husband with Christmas pics of their precious son! I had a great time playing with this giggly little guy! I can't show the pics until after Christmas! But... I did get creative and do a little cropping! The rest will come after the holidays!

I had a fun afternoon shoot with my best friend Becky, her great husband Casey, his sweet sister and her beautiful family! We had so much fun being silly, playing with trains! I have so many pictures to start editing tomorrow, but here's a little peak of the cutie I got to work with! Look at that sweet smile! He was such a happy little guy.... made my job easy!

I finished a shoot and opened up my bedroom door to this....

Totally melts my heart!! I love these two sleepy heads!! Awww, love it!

Dear Kolton,

I catch myself feeling stunned at how quickly you have grown and matured. I love to watch you play and observe your thought process. You are brilliant. You make me laugh more then I have ever laughed before. You have the best sense of humor. You amaze me more and more every day. Thank you for being YOU!
I love you,
Mommy

Marlee finally got her hair did....

It's about time poor Marlee got her hair did! Kolton and I took her to the doggie salon today. She looks and smells so much better! Brandon still thinks she looks like a rat, but Kolt and I love her no matter what he thinks!!

We love Heavenly Paws!

Baked Chicken and Mushrooms

I made this last week and it was good! Here is the recipe!

Boneless skinless chicken breast halves
teaspoon paprika
1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
Butter
1/2 cup sherry or chicken broth
Ggreen onions, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
teaspoon salt
teaspoon pepper
Garlic Salt
3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Arrange chicken in baking dish coated with cooking spray. Sprinkle with paprika, salt, pepper and garlic salt. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, in a large nonstick skillet, saute mushrooms in butter for 5 minutes. Add the sherry or broth, green onions, garlic, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Pour over chicken.

Bake 10-15 minutes longer. Top with cheese. Bake for 3-5 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!

Flashback Friday-Kolton's BIRTHday

It feels like yesterday and forever ago all at the same time.

I remember everything thing about this day! My nerves were shot. I was scared, excited and nervous at the same time. I remember wondering what he would look like, what color hair would he have, what color eyes would he have, would I feel natural holding him, will he know that I am his Mommy and the list goes on and on.

I remember all the wonderful and supportive family members that we had pacing in the waiting room. I remember having great company. Too many cameras in my face, but great company!

I remember holding the railing of the hospital bed as tight as I could when the contractions started. I kept telling myself that I was strong and could handle them. I remember soon after begging for an epidural and being told it would be about 45 more minutes before the Dr. could get to me! I remember telling Brandon, "Those birthing classes were so wrong!!!" I remember having Brandon and my Mom by my side with scared eyes but encouraging words. I remember pushing. I remember the Dr saying, "Oh my gosh, this baby has so much hair! I can't believe how much hair he has!!" I remember saying at 2:00, "I will have this baby by 3:30!!!) I remember being surprised that Brandon cut the cord because for days he had been saying, "I am going to let the Dr. cut the cord! I don't want to mess anything up!" I remember holding my beautiful angel in my arms for the very first time! I remember being a proud Mom. I fell in love instantly. I remember the way his hair smelled sweet like chocolate and his skin was smooth and soft.

Race to the Skinny Jeans...

That is why I do NOT own a scale!!

Before Baby I never worked out or had to diet. I was the girl I hate now! I was a size 1 and could eat and eat and eat and not gain a pound! After Baby, things are a little different. I am a size.... nevermind... and I can just look at a piece of cake and gain weight! No joke!

I am not good at dieting and I don't have time to go to the gym. Here is what I am doing...

1 hour work out video in morning. I actually have to do this with my toddler. So I am constantly starting, stopping, filling up sippy cup, getting him cheetos, etc...

30 minutes of lunges, sit ups, squats and jumping jacks.

Eating small breakfast, small lunch and trying not to snack during the day.

Eating one helping of dinner. ( a small portion)

Cutting down to 1 Dr. Pepper a day. (I use to drink about 6!) Although, I still drink lots of coffee!

I am open to any dieting and work out tips!

Here is what Brandon brought home last night.... I can't turn it down! I have already had two pieced! (And it is VERY good!!!)

I watch to much tv!

So Carrie Prejean is having a bit of a week isn’t she?

One week you are the spokeswoman for the conservative movement and the next minute you are a total hypocrite!

She should have answered her question by saying, "All I want is world peace!" I bet if she had said that none of this nonsense would be happening!! But since she is not the brightest crayon in the box we are having to see her everywhere on her "I am a victim" tour! She went on and on and on on the Today Show about how everyone is out to get her!! Way to go Carrie, pick up those sympathy votes!! Take a chill pill Miss opposite marriage and go make another video or something!!

And while I am at it…

Where are Levi Johnston’s parents? This poor kid is out of control.

and...

Jon and Kate… Please quit being selfish, media crazed, trash talking people and become parents! You do have 8 precious children depending on you. So sad! I have officially boycotted anything and everything Gosslin. I refuse to watch this train wreck anymore!

A brother's love...

I am just about done editing pictures from one of my sweet little family shoots! Here is a sneak peek from our 30 minute mini session. I love the bond that the brother's shared. They were adorable!
